this may sound stupid, but after removing the holga lens from the body, there is no way of putting it back, right?

I had to force the lens off my Holga, but I think all that broke was a plastic stop the keeps the lens from screwing off the camera when you are focusing closer. So I think you could put the lens back on. I'm not sure though.

In my case, I super-glued the lens to a DSL body mount, so there was way it was goning back onto the Holga.

You can place the holga lens back in place simply by screwing it back on, using the threads. I've done this twice.
