Ever since the fall of 1997, when the first incarnation of this photo site went on line, I’ve struggled with the process of keeping it current and up to date. In the early days, when I was working within the 5 megabyte allocation provided by my ISP, I would just tear down the site and re-upload it with all new images.

But as I moved to a real webhost, and got a respectable amount of drive space, the site grew in fits and spurts, at times getting pretty ramshackle. Time and again, the site falls into a state a neglect, and then gets a massive injection of new photos. This most recent (March 2006) update is possibly the most extreme example of this.

In hopes of breaking this pattern, the “Image Stream” is launched! This is intended to be a place for one or two quick shots to be uploaded at a time, possibly to be migrated to the main galleries, or tossed into the image ash can (where they’ll have plenty of company!)While most of the images here will be new, I'm constantly churning over old exposures, pulling them out, and re-working. I also have the bad habit of going weeks on end without looking at anything I've shot, but keep on shooting. Which is a round about way of saying - old stuff will show up here too, but it should all be new to the website.
