Moonset, Lake Michigan.

February's full moon sets behind the lighthouse at South Haven, MI.  This is the first winter in several years that the lakes have frozen over, and this image was shot from the top of a small ice dune.

Needless to say - it was cold, with the ambient temperature at 2F and a strong, steady wind blowing off the landward side of the beach. When I got back to my car I dropped my keys - and was surprised to find that I could not get my fingers to bend enough to pick them up!  I did finally manage to get to car door open, though - and headed off to defrost over a cup of hot coffee with the other photographer who was shooting on the beach that morning.
