Fort Wilkins
June, 2001

Located at Copper Harbor, at the tip of the Keweenaw peninsula. This fort saw little action in any war, but a contingent of soldiers were housed here in the early 19th century to police the booming mining towns.  The day we visited the was no one here save us and the black flies.
