Lake Lindon, #1
June, 2001

Lake Lindon is a small town located near Houghton/Hancock.  As you enter the town you'll see the massive ruins of a 19th century ore stamping plant.  This structure house massive steam engines that were used to pulverize iron and copper ore, which was the loaded into ships for transport.  These ruins impressed me when I first visited the Keweenaw 15, years ago, and remain remarkable.
