
Imperfect Symmetry

| I mentioned using high contrast slide film a while back. Slide film also renders a much sharper, more crisp image. Here's an example of a shot on print film - I had some Supra 100 in the camera when I first went out, and decided to use it up with the first snowflake shots of this season. For reasons that are beyond me, the grain on print film really pops. The velvety look is rather nice if you step outside of the "sharper-is-better" paradigm, but I had to do a lot of Photoshop work to tame the green and black grains of color that speckled this shot. |
