Dot Tailed White Face

Dragonfly identification can be iffy under the best circumstances.   Since this was shot on May 4, 2006, the range of possible species is pretty narrow. My best guess on identification of this specimen is that it is a female or immature Dot Tailed Whiteface dragonfly. Shot in Allegan County, Michigan, it should be representative of a fairly common species.
