Mark Cassino Photography

I always wanted to get a shot of one of these hanging on a plant stalk, waiting for a host. Today I was fortunate enough to find a male (shown here) and female on grass blades just a few inches apart. I'll hazard a guess that this is an American Dog Tick, Dermacentor variabilis .
