The ruins of an unfinished lake house lay strewn through the woods at Northpoint. They are pretty picked over now - over the past few years the site has been repeatedly looted, and the most interesting blocks of concrete have been removed. It's not true, but the story is that this was a villa that Al Capone planned to build on the bluff lookinf over Lake Michigan. It would be a quick hop across the lake in a speedboat from his native Chicago.
