A digital infrared photo of a large tree at Magnolia Gardens, near Charleston South Carolina:
At the historic Nathanial Russel house in Charleston, SC. The guide instructed the group to line up, step under the stairs, take a shot and move on. I did all that and didn't even notice the dude with his hand on the bannister...

A couple of weeks ago a group of us visited The Henry Ford for their "Holiday Nights" festivities....
An 18th century holiday / wedding feast (click on the link for a larger file):
A pair of re-enactors at Greenfield Village’s Holiday Nights, taken in 2013. These guys are Mummers. In the late 17th and 18th centuries Mummers were people who dressed up in outlandish costumes during the Christmas / New Year’s holidays and engaged in everything from benign wassailing to aggressive panhandling to roughing up and strong arming genteel folks to them to give food, drink or other alms.
I received a few loud rings of the triangle and toots from a horn and they were on their way to roust some other visitors. All part of a really fun time…
Another small park in Maryland. Mallows Bay is home to a scuttled fleet of WWI vessels that were sunk in shallow waters to create a wildlife refuge. Here is the road leading into the park (click on the image for a larger file):
Here is one of the scuttled ships, as seen from the shore:

And here a decrepit dock right near that sunken boat:
